Uganda's President and Opposition Differ on Oil Issue


As Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni rejected corruption claims after lawmakers put a freeze on new oil contracts, FDC leader Kizza Besigye advised all the ministers accused of accepting bribes to 'save the country from embarassment' by resigning.




Ugandan Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi, Sam Kuteesa, the minister for foreign affairs, and Minister for Internal Affairs Hillary Onek allegedly benefited from billions in bribes from oil company, Tullow Oil.
